POPE FRANCIS’ MESSAGE FOR

LENT 2017

Lent is a new beginning, a path leading to the certain goal of Easter, Christ’s victory over death. This season urgently calls us to conversion. Christians are asked to return to God “with all their hearts” (Joel 2:12), to refuse to settle for mediocrity and to grow in friendship with the Lord Jesus is the faithful friend who never abandons us. Even when we sin, he patiently awaits our return; by that patient expectation, he shows us his readiness to forgive.

DIARY STAMPING

If you have been issued with a diary in order to obtain a reference from Fr Christopher for a place in a Catholic school in September 2018, please ensure that your diary is now stamped before and after Mass.  At All Saints Church diaries are stamped at the table at the back of Church, on the left as you enter the main door.  At St Thomas Aquinas Church, diaries are stamped in the Sacristy, on the left hand side by the statue of the Sacred Heart.  Please ensure that there is a recent photograph of your child on the inside cover of the diary.
