MASS INTENTIONS

A reminder that if you would like a Mass offered for your intention please contact Jo in the office to check if the date you would like is available. Due to a very high demand there is normally a “waiting list”.  We would advise you to organise Mass intentions as early as possible to avoid disappointment. We print the list of Mass Intentions (the ‘pink sheet’) every week and this is posted at the back of Church.  Please note that funerals take priority and may occasionally cause the Mass schedule and intention to be changed at short notice:  thank you for your understanding. Donations for Mass intentions can be given to Jo at the Parish Office, to the clergy, or placed in the Sunday collection. Please place your donation in an envelope with your name, the name of the person for whom the Mass is offered and what the Intention is for:  for example:  get well, thanksgiving, RIP etc and the date of the Mass if you have already arranged this with the Parish Office.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE

Eileen’s body will be received into St Thomas Aquinas Church at 5 pm on Tuesday, 17th Jan

Bridget Lawlor, 53, late of Crummock Place whose Funeral is on Friday, 27th January, 1.30 pm at St Thomas Aquinas Church.

DIARY STAMPING

If you have been issued with a diary in order to obtain a reference from Fr Christopher for a place in a Catholic school in September 2018, please ensure that your diary is now stamped before and after Mass.  At All Saints Church diaries are stamped at the table at the back of Church, on the left as you enter the main door.  At St Thomas Aquinas Church, diaries are stamped in the Sacristy, on the left hand side by the statue of the Sacred Heart.  Please ensure that there is a recent photograph of your child on the inside cover of the diary.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH CAFOD

New Year’s Resolution:

Make 2017 the year you meet new friends, inspire others to act for social justice and use your skills to help those working to overcome poverty. CAFOD is looking for people who would like to go into schools to give assembles, support the two Fast Days a year or give talks in your or other parishes.  Training is provided and travel cost reimbursed.  If you enjoy social media and writing you could contribute to our blog and e-news.
