If your child is due to start school in September 2017 and you have decided to apply to either of these schools, supplementary forms are available from the school office. If your child was Baptised in the Parish there is no need to attach their Baptismal Certificate.  References will be sent to parents in December/January and the schools will be ‘copied in’.  The supplementary forms can, therefore, be returned directly to school.

MISSIO

Since 1922 MISSIO has been the Pope’s official charity for overseas mission.  Its aim is to bring the Gospel where there is turmoil, poverty and uncertainty; it does this principally where the Church is new, young and often poor.  The purpose of MISSIO is to empower local people to form and sustain communities of Faith and thus it trains and nurtures church leaders (including Priests, Deacons and lay people) so that the life-saving work of Christ’s Church can continue. On Saturday 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th October Fr Wayne Coughlin (the Diocesan Director of MISSIO and Parish Priest of Wendover-Great Missenden) will celebrate the 9:30am Mass at St Thomas Aquinas Church; during the course of which he will talk about the work of MISSIO.   NB: He will NOT be appealing for money! Please support these Masses and chat with Fr Wayne afterwards about this official papal charity.

CAFOD REFUGEE SOLIDARITY PILGRIMAGE

If you were unable to attend our very moving service last Friday, you may be interested in completing a ‘message of hope’ card, available at the back of the church. Please write your message on the card and leave it on the altar after mass.  The cards will be collected  and sent off to CAFOD HQ who in turn will ensure your message is shared with refugees in the UK and around the world.

KNIGHTS OF ST. COLUMBA

During this Year of Mercy the Knights have had Masses celebrated in various Cathedrals (often celebrated by a Cardinal). On Sunday 6th November 2016 it is the turn of Westminster Cathedral. There will be Brothers of the KSC from 7 Provinces including Northampton Province 38 which, of course, our Council 579 Bletchley, Milton Keynes, is part of.  Our Cardinal will be the Main Celebrant. The Knights would like to invite all Parishioners to join us on this great occasion. If there are enough people interested in going we would book a coach at a cost of approx. £11/12. Please contact Mike Smith on

01908 507184 asap for further details.
