THE GIVING TREE

Please take a tag from the Christmas Tree in church and buy a present for someone extra this year. Wrap it (if the item is not food), label it and return it under the tree. Your gift will be gratefully received by someone locally or overseas.

 

CRIB DONATIONS

This year all money raised will be donated to the SVP (Society of St Vincent de Paul Conference, Bletchley).

 

HEADTEACHER VACANCY FOR

SEPTEMBER 2016

Michael Manley, who has been Headteacher at St Paul’s Catholic School for the last 22 years, is retiring in August 2016. The Governors are now advertising the post and interested candidates should contact:

CONFIRMATION 2016

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated in the Parish by Bishop Peter on Tuesday 26th April at

7.30 pm..   There will be five preparation classes:

Friday 26th Feb, 4th/ 11th//18th March and 15th April. There will also be an away day at Thornton College “Blaze” on Saturday 23rd April 10.30- 5 pm (cost £5).Places are open to those in school years 7-11 but priority is given to those in year 7. GIFTS TO YOUR PRIESTS

Many thanks for your kindness and generosity once again towards Fr Benedetto and myself in the form of the Christmas offering. Fr Benedetto and I divide the money, which you kindly give us, 50:50 which provides us with a modest income until Easter.  Deacon Noel joins us in also thanking you for your many cards and Christmas presents.

John Murphy, aged 73, late of Melrose Avenue, whose Funeral Mass is on Wednesday 6th January, 2.30 pm at All Saints Church.

John’s body will be received into Church at 5 pm on Tuesday, 5th January.

Antonio Santan Cardozo, whose Funeral Mass took place on Thursday 17th December.

Giuseppe Paolucci, aged 86, late of Eaton Avenue, whose Funeral Mass took place on Wednesday 22nd December at St Thomas Aquinas Church.

 

DONATION FROM THE ITALIAN COMMUNITY

Many thanks once again to the Italian Community who this year kindly donated £1,259 for Church Funds. A lists of donors has been made available on the noticboards and copies are available from the back of Church.

 

READERS for the 6:30 PM SUNDAY MASS

We need more readers for this Mass. Training can be provided. If you are interested please contact the Parish Office or speak to Fr Christopher.

 

LEGION OF MARY
