MASS THIS WEEKEND his will be Fr Michael’s final weekend at St Thomas Aquinas Church and St Alban’s, Winslow.  This will also be Fr Joseph’s final weekend at All Saints Church.  Fr Clement is ‘covering’ locally. 

FAREWELL CELEBRATIONS e hope you are able to attend the Mass of Thanksgiving at All Saints Church on Monday, 30th September at 6 pm followed by a social at Wilton Hall, 7.30 until 10 pm.  A chance to give thanks to God for the ministry of your priests.  Frs Michael and Joseph will leave the parish the following morning and Fr Clement will leave on the Wednesday.

NO BAPTISM PREPARATION MEETING THIS WEEK, as Bishop Peter is here for a meeting with the Pastoral Area Council.  If you have a baby for baptism and cannot wait a month for the next meeting, please collect your forms from the Parish Office and our procedures will be explained to you.

NO PHOENIX YOUTH GROUP THIS TUESDAY:  next meeting Tuesday 8th October.

HOLY COMMUNION PREPARATION is under way for twelve children at schools other than Bishop Parker and St Thomas Aquinas [including St Bernadette’s, St Monica’s and St Mary’s].  Tuesday evenings with Angela and team.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARIES Congratulations to Collette and Tony Day on their Silver Wedding Anniversary.  Also to Frances and Peter Drage on their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

DO YOU WANT TO BE A CATHOLIC? Nine of you do, so we will be starting our course soon.  If you want to be added to the happy number, please contact the clergy.  The course will be called “Journey In Faith”, so look out for it’s immanent start.

SECOND COLLECTION today For Fr Joseph, your farewell gift to him.

In October a collection will be taken for the ministry of Fr Clement in Kenya, notably the building of his parish school, St Daniel Comboni in Nakuru.

EXTRA MASS ON WEDNESDAY Fr Clement will celebrate Mass in St Thomas Aquinas School at 1.30 pm.  All welcome.

Dorina Gallato, aged 93, late of Roslyn House Care Home, Houghton Regis, who funeral was on Thursday.
Derek Hooley, aged 79, late of Cheltenham Gardens whose funeral is on Monday, 2.45 pm at the Oak Chapel at Crownhill.

ALTAR SERVERS Last call for any child of school year 3 or over who wants to serve at Mass.  Training will be arranged for you soon.  Let us know if you want to join our merry band of altar servers.

THE BOXES OF ENVELOPES should by now have appeared at All Saints Church, arranged alphabetically around the heaters.  Please collect yours today.  If you cannot find your box or would like one, please let us know.

JESUS YOUTH EVENT A day for children (5-13) on Saturday 5th October at St Paul’s. Moorgate.  The day begins at 11.30 am and finishes with Mass at 6 pm to which parents are welcome.  The day includes drama, music, games and creative bible study.  All children from the parish are welcome – please bring a packed lunch.  Jesus Youth is focusing on pre-teens specifically by combining faith and fun while encouraging simple Bible messages that they will love to learn and take home.

PARISH FAYRE Planning meeting Monday 7 pm at St Thomas Aquinas Meeting Room.  All ideas, new and old, welcome.
