Newsletter: 21st July 2013

THE BIG NEWS As announced at all our Masses last week, our two priests are to move in September. Fr Michael is to move to St Anthony’s, Farnham Royal in Slough: Fr Joseph is to move to St Theresa of the Child Jesus in Princes Risborough, Bucks.
It is usual for priests to move parish after a period of time – Fr Michael has been in Bletchley Parish for eleven years and Fr Joseph has been here for five years. What is unusual is that both priests are to move at the same time and it is this that is causing sadness for some parishioners.
We are blessed that two priests are to be sent to us:

Fr Christopher Perry is to be our Parish Priest, currently ministering in Our Lady of Walsingham in Corby: Fr Prince Kurian MSFS (the same order as Fr Joseph) is to be our Assistant Priest, currently ministering in India.

I would like to thank everyone for their kind words to Fr Joseph and myself at this time. It is reassuring for us to learn that our ministry among you has been valued so highly.Meanwhile, we have several weeks together so, in the immortal words of the song by Abba, we should “Dance While The Music Still Goes on!”
May God Bless Us All,

Fr Michael.

FOOD BANK Our box is now installed and ready for your food donations. Every Monday your donated foods will be taken to the Foodbank. This is a great way to help local needy families week by week and to put into practice the faith we profess.
